Meditech
Meditech Research was established in 1979 as a medical research group specializing in marketing research among professionals in the health field.
The Meditech team consists of highly experienced researchers coming from a background in the pharmaceutical industry. They understand the complicated workings of the Japanese market and are in an excellent position to understand the specialized needs of pharmaceutical companies and to advise on the best research methodologies that will answer those needs.
Meditech research conducts studies on pharmaceuticals, clinical diagnostics, medical instruments, as well as on products in all stages of development ranging from planning to pre-clinical to post-launch surveillance.
Our recently established physician panel has enabled Meditech Research to bring our methodological and analytical experience online. With fully 12% of all physicians registered in Japan (about 30,000 physicians), our panel is the largest in Japan and allows for web-based surveys or traditional qualitative or quantitative resarch with almost any specialty or prescriber condition.
In addition to conducting research with doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and clinical technicians, Meditech Research also conducts surveys with patients. Our patient panel is the largets of its kind in Japan with over 130,000 patients available for either traditional qualitative and quantitative research or online surveys. Interviews with medical professionals are conducted by interviewers specialized in that field enabling us to gather a higher quality of information.
Meditech Research also has experience studying all types of diseases ranging from hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipemia, psychiatric diseases, cancers, and other rare diseases.
Most importantly, however, we place great emphasis on working proactively with our clients to produce actionable results. We believe that this can be done only by gaining a thorough understanding of our client’s business, by custom designing a focused research plan, and by providing insight in the analysis of the results.
