Recently, Neuro-marketing based on breakthroughs in neuroscience has been getting increased attention. This marketing method is based on neuro-science, which we utilize in obtaining insights into the "Consumer's mind and purchase behavior" based on the brain's response. There are numerous cases of this in the USA.
In February 2008, we announced that we have made a strategic investment in NeuroFocus, an innovative firm that specializes in applying brainwave(High resolution EEG=electroencephalography), eye-tracking and skin conductance measurements (GSR=galvanic skin response) to track the effectiveness of advertising, branding, packaging, pricing and product design across a variety and range of consumer touchpoints.
At the Nielsen Premium Seminar, we would like the opportunity to show this new neuro-marketing methodology along with a live demonstration measuring the brain's response via EEG. Furthermore we will invite Dr. Kenichi (Ken) Mogi, Japanese Neurologist as special guest speaker, who is senior researcher at Sony computer science laboratories, and a visiting associate professor at Tokyo Institute of Technology as well as the anchorperson for "The Professionals" in NHK broadcasting in Japan.
